Located 10 miles from the city centre and just 13 minutes to Euston from Harrow & Wealdstone station there are great transport links via the Metropolitan Line, Watford DC Line and national rail service. It is easily accessible to the M1, M25 and A406.

Harrow Council are currently seeking a Business Support Administrator to join their team, with in the Resources and Commercial Directorate, supporting HB Public Law, the Legal Department in Harrow Council. The successful candidate will work as part of the core Business Support Administration Team within the Business Support Service, providing an efficient and confidential business support service within the directorate, as required. They will report to the Business Support Team Leader and will also assist with the core Business Support Administration Team’s daily workload, undertaking tasks as required to ensure the services Performance Indicators/Service Level Agreements are met.

The successful candidate will also be aware of, and will comply with statutory and local procedures and good administrative practice in the work undertaken, suggesting relevant improvements as required.

They will also work flexibly within the Business Support Service areas as required, ensuring that their skills, expertise and knowledge are fully utilised.

To be successful in this role you would need to have the below skills & experience:

  • Knowledge of general administrative practices including information technology
  • Awareness of customer needs and expectations within a business support environment
  • Knowledge of computer systems and databases e.g. Microsoft packages, particularly Word, Outlook/GroupWise, Internet Explorer
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Knowledge of good administrative practice including financial administrative processes.
  • Up to date knowledge of systems and processes for delivering an effective business support service.
